Chaps Had a quick measure up of an used crankcase over the weekend, which I'll continue with. No 2 main bearing is marked "U 0.5 Std". What order are these in? Does appear crank has been ground down 0.5mm on the mains. Ta.
all depends on who's selling them Normally it goes: crank/case/thrust Have you got some verniers to measure the case and crank? always best to measure these things
Re a thrust cut - I assume any fly-cutting would be visible on the front face of no 1 (I assume they only shave the flywheel side?) On the case I've got, the case web for no 1 is 22mm wide, with a bevel round the edges. Assume this means it hasn't been touched? Ta.
