Is the top and bottom tube leaves the same length

  2. Just gone to my garage and unwrapped the ones I took out to put in Red9 Torsion bars and coilovers.! They all appear the same length to me!!!!!

Now just need to get the grease off!
    Cheers

    Thanks

Having a problem getting the top arm all the way in so back to the hammer it is.

  4. Good luck! Worth checking the end of the tube if you still struggle, apparently there is sometimes a tiny piece of weld on the end of the bundle when they were put in, which breaks off and can sit in the end of the arm
    Cheers B

  5. I had to give mine a walloping on one side

  6. Pretty sure they are the same size, I have a spare set in the garage somewhere and can't remember them being different.
I can remember one of my arms being a right bugger to get back on a bit of jiggery pokery and whacking to get it back on.

7mm = hit the grub screw?
Have you have both sides off?
Were the ends of the leaves level when you started to put the arm back on?
I've never needed more than tappage to get them on - obviously you need to lever the top one up as you tap (with a heavy hammer). If you have to hit it hard somethings up.

  9. you must come across some easy beams zed ,wack it.... ;D

yes had both sides top and bottom off
have been hiting fairly hard with a nylon hammer
have tried to use the grub screw to pull it in

Will have a look with a torch down the grub screw hole to see whats out later if not taker it apart and check nouthing is down there

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Nylon hammer? I thought you'd been swinging a lump hammer at it full tilt! Get the lump hammer out - you need some weight behind your blows - use a block of wood to prevent damage.

The weld on the end of the leaves had fallen off into the arm must have been all that hamming.

Believe me i was putting a lot of weight behind the hammer (i have lots of it) its one of the big nylon hammers not the toy ones but if i ever do it again i would get off my ass and find the lump hammer
