Went to refit the screen today using a new JK front seal and it was way too big, having fitted it to the screen first it had about two inches of slack. I asumed it would be quite a tight fit on the screen. We didn't even try fitting it ? Can anyone tell me who sells a good seal - or am I wrong should it not fit tight on the screen ? Please help coz I need to get the screen back in ASAP ?
Send it back. have heard so many times about Jk seals not fitting. Get one from either Status or Alan Schofield. THey will be genuine german ones, shaped to fit and will go on easily. got mine from Alan Schoifields.
We've just fitted a new heated front windscreen and used a Custom & Commercial seal, perfect fit! Apparently VW Heritage's are just as good but not JK's
On the one hand I am gutted I have bought a duff one but on the other now I can understand the problem. I am assuming you are telling me it should be a pretty snug fit around the screen. This one is a bit like my wife (size 10) wearing my pants ( 15 stone) the fit isn't snug and there is some excess ? Which is the best one to buy ?
From previous threads just like this one, I guess you have a T25 sreen seal. Anything on the packaging or label stuck on the seal to confirm this?
let josh JK know as well http://thelatebay.com/index.php?topic=16316.0 the more we tell them the more they might get there act in gear
Thanks everyone - the seals came with the van but are clearly marked as the correct ones - I will take you advice and give Schofields a ring
all this josh crap ...they should send out the right seal in the first place ..end of ..they done this to me and argued for 2 weeks that it was the right seal ...it wasnt it was a t25 seal ...no refund ,no sorry....go sumwhere else and get a right one ......megabug do nice ones as do cool air
