Having the carbs in series should be fine. You weren't using the skinny tank return line on the second one, were you ?
I don't think so but it might have been. Whatever, I just went for the immediate solution, hate waiting for parts when I'm in the middle of something and I had a T.
Not saying you did...but it's possible. Main feed on one of the Dell banjos is 8mm, but the tank return is about 3mm. That would likely strangle one of the carbs.
