A few years ago I bought a big set on trade sale.
last week I broke the 1/2” drive ratchet, I did have an impact gun on the other end of the bolt.

Went in today and they changed it for a new one no problem

 

Did they not balls about wanting a receipt?

 

Yes done that..
No quibble swap,
even opened a full set to give me a ratchet

 

no nothing I didn’t even have to fill anything in.

 

Hmm - I have some Torx bits that are a touch worse for wear - wonder if they'll let me swap em out.

 

I’ve swapped a few torx sockets without any hassle. The rest of my tools have been spot on

 

That's annoying - my small torque wrench broke and my local branch were insisting on a receipt.

 

Yep, busted one of my ratchet spanners and they just replaced it without question. The Advanced stuff is pretty good.

 

I tend to buy the Advanced stuff now, it's very good. The only time I broke something was a 1/2" to 3/8" drive adapter and when I took the remains of my hamfistedness in they swapped it without question

I’m not sure there as good since they changed the name from professional to advanced

This will be going back for exchange it didn’t make it to 30nm before it gave way.

 

Bit excessive for a Torx bit, I think.

 

It’s what the manual states for that bolt.
