Has anyone got a photo or drawing of how to connect heater control cables to to the heat exchangers - I can't get the ones from JK to work - either they are the wrong part or there is a part missing or I'm missing a trick!
What doesn't work? Assuming T1 engine: thread cable end into silver foldy/clampy bits, attach bits to H/Es arms using pin and circlip. HE arms should be at the top. If they're lower down and have an intermediate lever, you've got Beetle exchangers which'll need modding.
Assuming type 1 again, Look at the bottom of this picture parts 7-11 - 10 &11 are what clamps to the cable and the other parts are the linkage to the arm. Note the arm on the HE is pointing up, this is a bus HE. After market and later originals have both bug and bus arms, the bug arm points down and is on the other side.
