Hiya, I’m Tracey and live in the far south west of Cornwall. I own a ‘73 and ‘68 bays oh and a ‘88 t25.
Off to France in the ‘68 to the Le Mans classic. Hope you’re all well!

Nice!! I’m going to the classic and leave on the 26th…. I best book the ferry I guess . Which crossing are you doing? I’m thinking poole to Cherbourg

I've done Newhaven to dieppe
A bit less driving in france..?

 

But a lot more driving in England, and nobody wants that. Cherbourg to Le Mans 280km, Dieppe to Le Mans 273km.

 

Yep that’s how I worked it out, I’m going to Cherbourg. I’ve been from Plymouth to roscoff but that overnight crossing was dreadful

 

And Roscoff to Le Mans is about 365km. Poole to Cherbourg is the obvious best route.

 

Yep, obviously Plymouth is closer for me but I’ve done the Poole to Cherbourg and I actually like Cherbourg as a place anyway so I’ll be biting the bullet and booking that crossing in the morning just under 3 weeks to go yippee haven’t been to France since lockdown ☺️
