Cheers Westy I was going to order a “kit” just now thinking it would be a kit but JK just do the tee pieces and the hose so probably better to wait until I’m doing it before I order anything once engine is out
Up to you but I’d look in the engine bay to see what is there and more importantly what isn’t there and I’d order the bits required. You know without looking that you’ll need the air filter adapters, no ‘kit’ will have them.
I'd agree. If you're not in a hurry to get it all out and sorted in a day, then it pays to get a proper look at it all to know exactly what to buy! Remember to use good quality bio hose for the little pieces that join all the fuel tank breather system. Anything poorly rated will just degrade pretty fast and the last thing you want is a fire hazard! This is what I used: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251182149018
This one usually fails first, as it is easily exposed to liquid fuel running up the breather from the tank, as well as hot air coming off the engine. This means that when it fails it can drip petrol when you brim the fuel tank. On the other side, the join is "after" the loop going up into the air vents, so that joiner only sees vapour. The connections on top of the tank are running much cooler so they tend not to fail in the same way. Fuel hose needs heat and tight bends or flexing to really start cracking. So the fuel hose for that hard to get at joiner has to be equally as good as whatever bio-proof high temperature hose you used for the actual tank to engine connection.
