i did actually post about it at the time but the mods didn't like my reference to my worn out ring and assumed i was being smutty.
I have one, imported as a pair from the USA some years ago when I needed one. It's the ring that makes the push switch contact, that the plastic horn button clips into. Held in place with three machine screws and springs, with plastic insulation parts. The one I've got is slightly different, with a second narrow wire connection point. But it should work the same.
