  1. Completed the sound & insulation install, most definitely gunna make a Big Difference.

Went for DoDo Mat DeadN Hex & Thermo liner 6mm.

Ready for liner now and am going for Custom Shop Designs Roof lining kit and will top of with a coloured liner.

    Anybody used these?

  2. Barry I didn’t nt know if your aware mate but there’s no need to cover the entire surface of the panels with sound deadening mat
Just one piece about a quarter of the size of the panel
Placed in the centre of the panel is all you need.
After that it doesn’t tend to make any difference apart from adding unnecessary weight and costing you more.

  3. Yeah found out after I had installed, still need to do floor/engine area so won't use as much and just using the sound deading mat for main floor.

  4. You’re not the only one fella I keep seeing it more and more recently.
The closed cell foam acoustic insulation should cover the whole lot

  5. Are there any downsides to fitting this stuff? I'm tempted to try and get a slightly more 'solid' sound/feel to the van, but have been worried it would be a nightmare if it needed to be removed. But equally, I can't really think of the situation where it would need to be removed.

  6. Makes a massive difference for noise an cooler in summer and warmer on a colder night.

  7. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

It does make a difference but of course you still have 360 degs of single glazed windows. Upshot is they're easier to heat but still cool down pretty rapidly.
The noise thing is worth the effort though, I can chat at normal volume going full speed.
