Got a rumble on my beetle,checked all wheelbearings renewed gear box oil hard to tell were its coming from drove to work this morning with no back seat,might as well had both windows open .Been told its unlikely to be drive shafts no more play than normal no leaking grease not sure what to do next could it be the gear box ps excuse spelling better half down in hayling island with her mum
rear wheel bearing are pretty rare to fail, have a check out of the front ones. jack up the front and wobble the wheel top to bottom to see if there is any play, if your beetle was on hayling i could have a look
