Looking forward to seeing the progress i restore these for a living but i still love seeing how others are doing (i must get a life lol)
Sorry zed i just love the initial pics of everything cut out From there on every job is one closer to it being once it once was and what it may be
Well i have some very upsetting news, i am having to sell jack, my friend came on Sunday and broke the news that there is something major wrong with jacks front end, which would take loads more time and £ (which i am struggling for at minute) that i realy do not have, Sorry i havent been on of late but the news has upset me BIG time as i fell in love with the van. Plan of action is to strip jack and sell off his bits, all the panels, kitchen, bed, Roof, Engine to combine the money and get a late bay. So unhappy
Sorry to hear that dinky sending you some hugs What exactly did he say was wrong with the front end to right it off as not restorable?
I expect it's that + a load more now the poor fella's had a proper poke at it. He's done you a favour Dinky - best not to pour good money after bad. You camper needed pretty much one of everything. Next time you look, you'll know what you're looking at and bag a beauty. I was chatting to a VW nut yesterday who dropped by. He sells tractors so visits a lot of farms and keeps his eye out. He just bought a tin-top for £80 and a devon for £500 and he's going to make one out of the two. One of them came with £300 of repair panels. He reckons there's loads of them out there tucked away unwanted.
Thanks guys, He will be parted out, and i think you will see him on Ebay as my friends doing the selling for me, been told to keep the interior so i shall, fingers crossed the money from selling the bits will go towards my new Camper, am not giving up on getting one i promise that, Once i know whats for sale and prices he says i will pop it on here in the sale bit, untill then i have no clue.
well don't be a stranger we're missing you already, we have another pants based thread going..............
