75ah is a bit poo.....i got a 110 in but it's tight, there's a recent thread running with details or it's on my van thread about page 40
If it helps, I have this one and it fits. http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/95a-motor-mover-battery-p150008
I've used these people a few times and have found them really good - cheap, good customer service, and quick free delivery. They have a huge range of leisure batteries including low height ones: http://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/ Think I got a 90aH one and it fits perfectly, however pretty sure they do a 110aH that will fit too.
one wonders if it would be possible to fit 2 smaller batteries in the tray wired together (never sure which is series/parallel) to gain better amps?
You could certainly wire two smaller batteries in parallel to gain more capacity. (They'd need to be the same make/model and of the same age.) If two were wired in series you'd get the same Ah capacity as a single one, but double the voltage (ie 24V) which is not what you'd want.
I'm going to get one of these. Check the measurements http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251222531...2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT#ht_1824wt_1401
Looks good value. Torn between something like this and the 70ah standard leisure battery from Halfords. Only powering a few things
That's the one I got for my T5 mate - just fitted under the driver's seat when I fitted a swivel to it - had no problems.
Elecsol batteries have not been available for about a year and the company has ceased trading. The Elecsol website has also gone and I have since discovered it was very misleading giving the impression of a large battery design and manufacturing company when in fact it was one man with some stickers. The Ah claims made for the batteries were also unproven with no technical backup and the 5 year warrenty is certainly worthless. Having said all that I bought an Elecsol 100Ah before I knew the facts, it fits nicely and so far it has worked, but I wouldn’t buy another one even if I could.
Nice sticker on the battery but Elecsol 110Ah aren’t available either – same reason as I gave earlier, but Google ‘Elecsol batteries’ and read some of the comments on the motorhome, caravan and boat forums.
I plumped for the banner energy bull 110ah battery... https://www.roadpro.co.uk/retail/product_list.aspx?prod=Banner Lead-acid "Energy Bull" Batteries. Touch on the expensive side but hopefully you get what you pay for with batteries. Not wired in and tested yet so can't report on performance but it fits in.... just about.
