Lino flooring

  1. Has anyone got Lino flooring in their van? I'm going to replace mine today and with the additional weight of laminate & the how easy it is to chip I've decided to put a Lino floor down. Do we have any pics and do's&donts?

  2. Tough decision. We bought laminate and vinyl, then decided on the laminate. We've nearly finished installing it but still not sure if it was the right choice.
The laminate is more durable and easier to keep clean but not as quiet, warm or soft underfoot as vinyl.
We've put a layer of foam backed radiator foil underneath to make it quieter.
Time will tell. We could always put the vinyl over the top.
The important thing is to seal it as best you can to prevent water getting underneath. Laminate falls down here, as it has so many joints.

  3. i put down some sound deading first then ply floor them cushion floor lino this only cost £40 , ask you supplier for of cuts , owen nw , better than laminite floor this holds the moisture over time then the joints in the wood swell, owen nw

  4. Used the Mad Matz lino tiles in mine went down real well and been great even after several years use.
Also good colour choices to match van?
Sorry can't get to van for pics at the moment.

  5. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

I used Marmoleum in mine. It's tradditional lino and absolutely bomb proof. I did it after the ex reached round from the table and put a frying pan down on the vinyl floor - it melted.

  6. shop around the high street for lino ..cheaper and better quality than nearly all vw shops...get that bombproof zed stuff ...sounds wicked

  7. I've got a roll of top quality sparkly lino with non slip grit stuff that is used in pubs/clubs (cut off from a job) looking forward to getting that down and the crappy blue carpet up.

  8. I used the Madmatz tiles in mine recently. Very easy to fit, are very durable and the guys at Madmatz are really nice people....only a small company so always good to do our bit to keep them going.

Will be posting pics shortly of my interior so far.
