SORTED Lock tumbler

Anyone got a spare lock tumbler? Or an old lock for spares? I've just lost one that shot off when I took the engine cover lock apart.

 

I think there are 4 different wafers, a "1", "2", "3", or a "0" which is the same as no wafer/tumbler.

 

You lost the whole thing?

 

No! Just one of the little brass finger things. Only so long I can crawl around on my hands and knees looking for the wretched thing.

 

I was close, there's a 1,2,3 and 4= no wafer. So you really need to know which one you lost. You might be able to tell looking at the key itself with a bit of detective work.

 

Thanks for that. The lock has been apart in a previous life and the tumblers filed, to rekey it I guess. I'll see if I can make sense of it. Two jumped out but I found one of them.

 

Yes you can make a 1 or 2 out of a 3, or a 1 out of a 2. If you happen to get a spare one, make it a 3 if you can to cover all options.
