Hi Ady looks like a good bus and what a difference a bit of t-cut can make - mine was similarly flat when I got it but did a once over with T-cut and it looked a whole lot better. Have fun with the rolling resto and welcome to TLB..
Was really shocked how much of a different just a once over with t-cut did. The plan is to sort out some of the (frankly shocking) splats of filler someone plastered over little imperfections, but otherwise leave the outside for now. But instead concentrate on minor things such as AN ENGINE to get her on the road and sort out the interior.
Why thank you from down there! I've got family in Oz. oooo weird. I clicked on your avatar and then The Land Downunda and it took me to a map of Houston.
Welcome Ady, I'm glad you found the site, it was great to meet you both yesterday & love your enthusiasm tackling that paintwork it's really made a difference There are plenty of knowledgeable peeps on here who are more than happy to help with advice & support, hope all goes well and your on the road camping very soon! We're back over your way Friday & then picking Molly up Saturday, we can't wait Robo...
AdyF I've been doing a bit of digging on the forum and there are a couple of others with sportsmobile campers, links to the threads are below. http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/middlesbrough-newbies.17174/ http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/hello-from-kansas.832/#post-9346 Not sure at what point they are at with resto's or if in fact they still have them but it might be worth sending them a message using the conversations option which is like a private message or comment on the thread to see if they are still around
No worries chap, we were back at T2D today & your bus was looking good after all that elbow grease! Bringing Molly home tomorrow
Hi there, can you give me some close up pics of the roof rack please? My bus has the rivinuts in the roof I think for one of those, never seen one before! Dunc
We got home ok with the only drama was me following the wife onto the wrong road and suddenly realising I had no fuel for a magical mystery tour! But we made it to the petrol station ok & I'm really pleased how she drove and felt on the road!
