R & R done now i can get on with the covers

 

Covered grab handle trim piece now gonna tackle the top dash.

 

Just finished upholstery on dash

 

Very nice

 

Bit more today cos of great weather welded cab floor and sound deadening welded seat runners . Covered r&r bed and side panem

 

YOUTH???? Geez iv not been called that for over 40yrs hahag

 

Well where im from its “UTE” lol

 

Couple hrs this morning fitting buddy seat and few panels

 

Few more things today
Steering column removed painted refitted with new ignition barrel and steering wheel.
Carpeted rear/cab floor and tubs.
Fitted seats.
Sound deadening in cargo floor and walkthrough ( plus carpet)
Changed door locks/ignition to same key strip down sliding door lock and got working properly
Taking wheels to get new tyres tomorrow ready for drop spindles and coilovers and new brakes at weekend

 

Nice work busy busy.

Yeah i think the dash turned out quite good ,, im happy with it

 

So new wheels ( thx to paneuropaul) tyres bought and fitted ,, look good
BUT ( and i don’t know why im surprised) the drums are nackered the cylinders are fooked and the linings are split in two ON REAR
And FRONT?
callipers are rusted solid and discs are rusted to hell
SO NOW I HAVE TO BUY COMPLETELY NEW BRAKES ALL ROUND
SPOSE I HAVE TO LAUGH REALLY OR IL CRY HAHAHAH
so if anyone has any discs/callipers going cheap lol

but at least the drop spindles and coilovers arrived read to be fitted Saturday

 

I miss them already, I knew they'd look nice on your dark blue bus.

 

this is looking great - diamond stitch interior looks fab, as do the new wheels

 

But I guess on a plus note iv had a quick look underneath and it looks not too bad only a little welding to do fingers crossed
But i could be wrong lol il find out once i got all the bluddy underseal and waxoil off

Ok so even tho it’s been freezing i got all the old underseal/waxoil off ( total ballache lol) but not as bad as I imagined, few bits of surface rust to grind off ,
Primed and stone chipped ready for top coat soon then fit whole new brakes /coil-overs/trackrod ends/ball joints/bump stops/ CV joints and anti roll bar fittings once iv sourced some new backplates as the ones on it are rusted to hell
