Due to my current lock crisis I decided to fit the brand new brazilian ones that have been sitting in my garage for years. Fit ok (ish) all seems to work until I lock on the button and close the door. Then the whole thing jams up, the pull for the lock wont move, the key wont operate the lock. Strip it down again and put back together and all works again. I know I can lock it with the key but damned sure I will forget and slam the door - its a full strip down to get to the fixing screws to sort it out. Anyone fitted brazilian replacement cad door exterior handles/locks and if so did you have any issues as cant quite work out what ive done wong here???? Ta
had this issue the pin that sticks out on the back of the lock is 4mm ish to long and fouls on the mechanism i think. compare it to the original and you will see what i mean
Took a few mm off but no joy. Works fine unless I slam the door - which I need to do really. ok on the key. Need to spend some more time on it tomos when hopefully it will be a bit warmer or at least lighter!!
i did they did nt work i got 2 old ones and re done the barrels to fitt a ole key i had less bother owen nw
