I'm in need of the hoover bit that fits round the bottom of the oil cooler, seems half of mine is missing!

If you have anything let me know cheers

Have you got a pic of the actual bit you need. Think I have one.

Sorry should have looked properly and seen yours is type 1. I've only got type 4 stuff.

  9. I also needed one a couple of years ago and struggled to find a complete one , they all seem to break off on the corner . I eventually got a good one from a guy on Ebay , lux-cat , who seems to have a decent stash of reasonably priced bits but it was still £25 if i recall ??

Seems like good complete ones are hard to come by ...

    Good luck

There is someone manufacturing them if I recall correctly, as I bought one a couple of years ago (might actually get around to fitting it now that the engine is out and the tinware all off being powdercoated). If my senile old lady brain remembers where I got it, I'll edit a link in.
Like @Lasty said, I think they might be around the £25 mark

Well I can't actually remember where I got mine or find any record of it, so sorry for not being more helpful.

Having said all that, I've realised from the chat on here that as I am upgrading with a Type 4 oil cooler modification, my Type 1 hoover bit may no longer fit anyway.
I'll need to chat to Alex the mechanic tomorrow (assuming he's not working today) and see where we are on this.
Possibly I may need a Type 4 one? If so, did either of you manage to have a look @SundialCamperSpecialists @happy and prosperous ?
If I do need, and can source, a Type 4 style... my Type 1 one would be going begging.
Am I right in believing the hoover bit is designed for the oil cooler type rather than the engine / tinware type? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
