hi guys i have a 73 twin slider and it had a 1.7 in it that has kinda flopped and i have a 1.6 single port to put in it and i have 1 slight problem and thats i cant seem to find any engine mounts anywhere, does anybody know where i can get any? roomer has it they are like £90 ban new which is expensive i know but i haven't had the bus running since i bought it in november and this is the last part ... can anyone help? thanks TOM-TOM
Hi TOM-TOM. As far as I am concerned a pancake engine is a suitcase engine, but from what I've read in your post you're changing from a type4 1700 to a type1 1600. By engine mounts what do you mean? The cross bar? The rubber mounts at each end? Or something completely different?
ive managed to find them and a suitcase is the type 1 and 2 engine and a pancake is a type 4 engine apparently but yeh they were the mnounts for either side of the engine bar but alan scholfield started making them a month ago so i ordered them woo so ill be at the shows soon thanks anyway gingers !
