Passenger seat

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by " more tea vicar"?, Mar 8, 2015.

  1. Took out the passenger seat which was directly bolted to floor ( they were after market )
Well I've sourced some genuine late ones to put back in but there's nothing on the ones I've got and nothing in the van to connect them to
Any one got any pics of theirs for me to have a look

  2. Have you still got the runners on the driver's side. Hooks on the passenger side?

  3. Drivers runners yes passenger hooks no
    What do hooks do

  4. Welded/bolted hooks hold the base of the detachable passenger seat. There's a metal loop on the bulkhead at the back that holds the passenger backrest. Haven't got any pics, I'm afraid.

There's some hooks on eBay; I saw them yesterday.

  6. So these hooks need welding in ?

  9. One bolted, one welded on mine. You could weld in another set of runners and have two drivers seats.

  10. image.jpg This is the passenger seat so what have I got missing off these

  11. image.jpg This is what was bolted to floor and to the after market seats I took out
I still have to take the drivers set out yet but that looks like they have welded something to them I'll take pics when I finally get em out

  12. I can get my drivers seat back in but I have nothing for passenger side

There's nothing missing from that seat, you're missing the brackets from
    The van

  15. Mine is 1977 so would they still fit
And how does the seat fit? Do they just sort of clip in and do they go down the sides or front and back

the year doesn't matter, buy the brackets in the ebay link, thay are what you need for that seat in the picture, you need 2 , they go towards the rear of the seat

  17. Cheers I googled brackets and got some images up so I know where they go approximately towards the back
I could bolt these on as I haven't got a welder
Any measurements from the bulkhead for the brackets

you should find on the inner tub, the side the seatbelt stalk bolts to the 2 holes for the bracket to bolt to, I've never seen a bus without them on the inner, the outer( near the door) is usually welded but can be bolted. you can transfer the measurement over from the ones in your van
