petrol tank

how close is the petrol tank to the back slope of a t2 campervan ?
i think i may have punctured it whilst screwing a batton for my rock n roll bed support

 

not very far maybe an inch

 

How high up were you drilling for the batten?

 

maybe around 50 mm from top

 

50mm from the top would miss the tank i think

 

think i may have got away with it didnt realise it was there till i was taliking about bolting the bed on the slope

Have a look on diddy's hatch thread here: http://thelatebay.com/index.php?topic=1711.0 there is a pic 3 or 4 down that shows the top of the tank in relation to bulkhead, it may give you some idea in relation to where you've drilled?

Even at the top, you've got a couple centimetres.
