FOR SALE Pop top Westfalia / Rivera Roof For sale

"Hi, for sale is my VW pop top roof.

This roof was fitted to the van (a T2 late Bay) when I bought it just over 2 years ago. I always thought it was a Westfalia roof as the previous owner had fitted rear hinges. I've since found out its Infact a Riviera roof.

The Riviera roof would operate by lifting vertically (as opposed to the hinge style of the Westie)

I did use the roof in the Westie style a few times but then decided I was going to panel off the ceiling of the van.

I've now fitted a Paris roof so have no long a use for the pop top.

I would describe it as in good condition for its age (the van is a '77) it's got a couple of marks but nothing too bad. I fitted a piece of Perspex over the front section as (for some reason I don't know) a hole had been cut out & this would just result in a water trap.
All seals are in good condition.
The roof is painted to match the scheme I have on my van, but a couple of rattle cans & a bit of time & you can put it to whatever colour you like.

So, basically this roof can be used how you want it too.
Vertical or hinged.
I don't have the vertical lift brackets but there are hinges installed (albeit a bit rusty)

So basically you are buying a pop top roof with rear hinges.

Buyer collects.

I will not sell outside of the UK

For 20 years i`ve assumed mine was a westy roof , turns out it`s identical to yours so that`ll be a Riviera with a westy rack on the front .

Not saying its wrong but it's not the same as my rivi roof. Who converted your van originally was it ASI in the US.

Sorry shouldn't really ask on your for sale thread, but it interests me as a riviera owner.

They're similar but not the same. Who told you it was a rivi, I bet it was that poptop2. He's a wrong un tried to tell me my roof was the same as paras.
