Is the snobbery of the person when it comes to coffee and their coffee machines inverse to their ability to fix the effin things when they break, which they do, often?
It’s like we’ve lost a nuke in a children’s playground here tonight, that level of stress. I never get this with teabags.
Use a stove top espresso thing, they don't go wrong and don't use filter papers. Just coffee and done. winner.
International incident averted…we can stand the fast jets down. Its fixed. I moved it and it started working. Don’t know why or how, just grateful it happened.
Omg….that’s like telling a 13 year old me that Woolworth Velcro trainers were just as good as the Puma Boris Beckers I just had to have! Except 13 year old me didn’t turn up with graphs and videos about steam flow and effusion rates. Which may surprise many of you.
our pod machine is inherited from my office after it broke. I bought it home, bought another broken one and started this whole Triggers broom thing. the office got a replacement under warranty…. That has also broke, which is good because the switch on the Triggers broom is now a bit iffy. I’ve never tried one of those… I do fancy giving it a try but we have an induction hob and I don’t think they’re compatible! Might invest in one for the van as I’m one of those annoying decaf people who has to have a separate brew to everyone else
No posh coffee machine for me I’m more of a Rosie man although I do have the occasional instant gold blend
I get annoyed by the touchscreen internet attached coffee machine at work because its animation of the coffee being made has bad perspective (sigh). And a friend has an all singing all dancing machine at home.. but it quite happily tries to make coffee with no water in the water tank..
I don’t drink coffee but we’ve gone from pods through things with steam wands to this latest one which grinds the beans and other jazz. My tea evolution meanwhile went the other way in terms of complexity….no sugar, semi skimmed and now decaf.
We’ve had this for what must be 8 or 9 years. Cost a pretty penny, but it was a Xmas gift from my late step dad. I’ve had to fix it once, small leak and a new washer back to normal. Just have to descale it occasionally. Bags of coffee ain’t cheap mind. Think most expensive bag was around £20 for 250g. Though now mostly get bags from Costco.
Bean here before. Best way to make a decent mug of coffee is to put two really heaped Tea?spoons of finely ground coffee, lavazza rosso or whatever, into your mug and pour on just boiled water. Stir and let settle. Milk is taboo, but I like a dollop of honey for taste. The silt soon settles as I'm dunking my croissant.
