Bust a spring on the Passat - new springs, top mounts and I'm considering shocks. Did the same on my partners Tiguan last year with no issues, all QH parts - no issues at all in the year and a half they've been fitted. Am wondering if my original shocks are better than replacing with QH ones? Any thoughts? GSF are doing Monroe ones at a decent price, but out of stock everywhere including home delivery.
Are you 100% sure the replacments are 100% .. I fitted some " GSF anonymous brand, these fit VW T2" shocks to my bus and I am sure they were less well matched than the shocks that were fitted before..
In the parallel universe that is TLB, to say, in effect, "I bust a spring on my Partner's Tiguan" is "too much information" and asking for trouble ...
It’s a bit of a niche thing you are asking. apart from his presenting on Top Gear and the odd motoring article I have read of his, I don’t really have much of an opinion on him.
Let me assist, smug arse, convicted mileage clocker, horrible braggart always picking up/almost stealing low mileage 1 owner cars from unaware old folk. Also likely if you’ve been to Tenerife, that’s he’s been to Elevenerife! On the QH parts though! I’d say just they’re a decent average brand, and been around a long time, though that’s doesn’t mean alot nowadays with parts manufacturer brands being bought, washed/rinsed.
If I remember correctly, QH was bought out of Receivership by Tetrosyl. Don't think they have any manufacturing so are just another aftermarket brand who buy in product.
