I loved the moody blues. Was actually doing a solo guitar gig . few years ago. And heard ray Thomas died during the break, so I played nights in White satin.. when I was about mid 70s. I had a few 8 track cassettes, from my older brother . One of them was the Moody blues…… my favorite song was.the question.. had the tc electronic m9 pedal .that did a great moody blues melotron sound .. the 8 track tape was looking like like this . Fond memories,,
I have a few books on old synths and the mellotron is right up there with the most distinct sound and genuine one of a kind designs. Hard to imagine Nights in White Satin, Strawberry Fields Forever, A Space Oddity and Joan of Arc without one. Mike Pinder a true pioneer!
