Rear Axle

Crawling under the bus at the weekend, noticed some oil/grease on the rear of the brake backplate, is this likely to be wheel bearings or stub axle ? Next question, full strip down required?

More likely brake fluid from a leaky wheel cylinder.

 

There has been no loss of fluid in the brake reservoir...

 

Has your axle boot split ?
