Do you have a link? I have never seen a CB rotary pump for £50 although generic pumps are cheaper.

Haven’t looked at specification, just Googled Carter Rotary pumps. IMG_3561.png

I be got mine from Cool Air. It’s been fine for several years….

  8. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's worth pointing out that the one on Amazon is a grey import from the US.

Also that Carter is a brand.
And that there are different pressure regulators built into different models.

So you need the correct pump and not one designed for FI with an external bypass regulator ...which if its anything like my Bosch FI pump would give you 120psi into a dead headed carburettor setup.

The pic looks okay but the description doesn’t correspond to the pic ‘Carter electrical in tank fuel pump comes with the following components: fuel pump, strainer, wire harnesses, tank seal, and grommets.’ And looking up the Carter part number it’s a 6-psi in line pump.

That explains why we pay 2 or 3 times as much.

  13. Worth buying two from Amazon!
They are branded Carter, sealed for life, but made in China.
If it fails you will be stranded. I bought a spare from Rock Auto to carry. They're only small.
The one I use is P90091.

Way too big for the 8mm hose and will have to try to buy the inline filter but now wondering if they have sent me the wrong pump ? Thanks

Is it the cheap one from Amazon? The Carter part number on the box is correct but someone recently on the prototype bay forum said they had the same problem. I think they changed the filter to one of the plastic ones that have stepped inlet and outlets.

  16. Thanks for reply , it arrived this week from Schofields ! I phoned them this morning and they will look into it on Monday. Thought I would try and gain some extra info over the weekend .Might just be a case of trying to find a metal filter with 8mm end .

There are plenty of metal fuel filters with 8mm connections on eBay or Amazon but you shouldn’t have to buy another one.
