Wow you are into it now!!!! The new floor will be great and you'll have easy access to the storage until you get the bed back in. LOL
Yeah definitely getting stuck in now! The bed will be the last thing to go back on, then I can paint inside etc well that's the plan anyway!
Not updated for a while but have managed a few bits in between work and busy weekends! it's starting to get there slowly now. Took loads of pics as we do but here's a couple just to show a bit of progress
Few hours on shifty today , at the point of trial fitting the treasure chest floor. Doesn't look to bad at all!
Lack of exhaust, vacuum leaks intercooler not plumbed in etc BUT it runs. That's as far as I've gone engine wise now I'm working up the front end doing the beam.
So it turned out the return brake Spring was defiantly broken! Pedal sit's so much better with the Spring doing its thing And the servo bolted up just needs the arm extending now .
After using the epoxy primer underneath and in the engine bay I decided I wanted a textured finish in the bay but keep it black and simple. So I opted for the Upol Raptor this stuff is fantastic! I thought the texture was going to smooth out as it dried but no it stayed like it was straight out the gun. Think I'll be doing the cab floor as well!
Brake calipers rebuilt with all new seals, pistons, nipples etc. Got the kit from Biggred online. The cast seals where too small first off but they sorted the problem. Really easy company to deal with.
drop sides where good i made new bottoms had no back gate , but i got one that i repaired too , i then had wide bodied westfallia
