T4 Caravelle fit out begins.

Getting the two rows of seats out was a faff, don't think they've ever been out before, they are hernia heavy......






Eventually got stripped back to an empty space, only to find some rot right on the rear hatch seal joint.


All now Kurust treated, to be filled and painted at some point, after the seal is removed and recentered.

 

It looks like if enough people pushed it would fall back in.

 

It probably would!
What else could you do except wait for the next flood? I guess that's the only option they have. Every video I've seen of apparently professional narrowboat rescue ends up with them sinking it. Each time, anyone with an ounce of common sense can see what they're doing wrong but they just carry on and sink them anyway before finally refloating and dragging them out of the way. I suppose it doesn't matter if you're fully insured but plenty of old boats only have 3rd party cover.

Our butterfly plant, inherited from Kas’ Mum. By day the leaves stretch out to catch the sun, at night it closes up and goes to sleep. I came home late from a party once, and was shocked to see that the plant was already waking up!
