Skeg Vegas isn't in Skegness or Las Vegas, but is a nice little VW show in a lovely sunny field in Revesby Park, Lincolnshire. There's a "rust & prime" line-up on the Saturday and it's perfect for you if you've invested good money in rust coloured paint for that ultimate rat-look (the actual rat will cost you extra) And if you didn't fancy the all-over rust look then you could pay good money to have someone doodle on your paintwork instead. This Golf went rusty rat and then some with the most impractical steering-wheel and gear-stick that you'll ever see (yes, that's the gear-stick!) Not a lot of Late Bays in the Show & Shine line-up but this one gave me the chance to show to a bored Mrs.M what a Type 4 engine should look like (and thus how different it is to ours) And this tidy number had a TLB sticker in the window Big hello to Carl; great meeting you. This wasn't in the line-up but amused me: The love-child of a dirty night of passion between a late bay & a caravan And this interior for a Splitty had taken someone a lot of time and effort Just not sure that the pooch appreciated it all that much Mrs.M and I tried a Splitty for size but I don't think they're for us. We had hoped to meet up with WoodyLubber and jonno74 on the way, but they sneakily took a different route to avoid us. Caught up with them later on though, but not before Woody had caught the sun And jonno had nicked someone's chopper Saturday night was "80's Old School" themed and Smurfette... ...is never one to miss out on an opportunity to dress up, so she disappeared off and raided her dressing-up box to emerge in character (Notice the double-drinking to make up for lost time.) Finally; this isn't a Late Bay, but you can't ignore a machinegun-toting Kubelwagen when you see one!
Brilliant pics Moosey! The dog is confusing me. Is it ACTUALLY in the cupboard??? Mine would go MENTAL!!!!!!!
Yep. Dog actually in cupboard. To release dog, open door beneath dog's head. To insert dog in the first place...? Dunno. Suspect it involves throwing in a biscuit and dog being not the sharpest tool in the box.
Great pics Moosey ;D Skegvegas really suprised me, its a great location and had a good vibe about it, I only made my mind up to go at the last minute and its a great show now its moved here
I'll jack this tread with some photos of my own The site was great and the blue sky helped. The show was on a large park with plenty of space for camping. It was a bit hot for everyone including the dogs. Some ace cars Callum was very proud that he won the colouring competition. We had a great time and it was a fantastic end to our holiday
