Steady on fellas. I pulled it because I'd run out of my own ideas with it running, which I'll grant you weren't many as I'm obviously not as accomplished in these matters. Having run it with an unidentified dodgy fuel pump for goodness knows how long I thought it would be useful to see whether the fuel pouring into my oil had caused wear in the barrels and/or excessive damage in the bottom end. Hence posting pictures of this and asking for opinions on the state of them. It only takes a few hours to pull it and get a good look. If nothing looks out of place to the eyes of the Late Bay collective it takes a similar amount of time to put it back together and explore the avenues you've suggested, for which I'm very thankful. I'm happy to be told I've gone about this entirely the wrong way round but I also can't check what I don't yet know about. It's kind of why I'm on here.
