  1. what are your thought peeps, my fanhousing and manifold are off, so now's the time to decide? what are your opinions??

The engine is a 1641 with engle 100, SVDA dizzy??

  2. personally i`d stay well clear of the progressive webber , there is a massive thread on the samba that tells you why they won`t /don`t work very well !!
most of the problems come from no preheat and the long runs to the heads which cause the fuel to drop from suspension and dribble in to the heads

    The choice is yours ......

  3. i have a 1641 with a progressive webber and she runs like a dream, done over 9000 miles now with no probs. not bad on the fuel either, i got 32 mpg on a recent trip to cheddar from portsmouth, around town its about 20 mpg tho.

  4. thanks peeps, i still dunno what to do though, as i've now got one vote against and one for.....

    any other opinions???

  5. Either a stock carb, or go to twins. I'd avoid the single progressive meself.

  6. Stock carb

  7. ok, stock carb it is then :)
