  1. Has anyone bought a pair of sunny climate bumpers from Heritage vw,I want to know if you took the black sticker off and polished out the sticky glue it left,(the sticker is where you fit the rubber wrap strip)

You'd buy sunny climate bumpers when you live in England because...................

  3. Because you can buy nearly 5 pairs for one pair of the best quality

I've seen the results of sunny climate chrome. Seriously......don't bother. Get your own bumpers cleaned, stripped and chrome plated or buy the proper ones. You will seriously regret buying anything that is sunny climate in a very short space of time.

  5. ^this. They'll be covered in speckley rust in no time.

Blasting then powder coating oldies shouldn't cost that much, or painting if properly prepped, will last (mine were 2-packed five years ago & haven't rusted yet).

    Buy Marmitee, buy twice ;D

  7. Speckly chrome is okay provided its matched with equally speckly painted body work.

  11. I bought a set of these second hand just to get my bus finished as the originals were totally wrecked, I hammerite'd them inside in the hope they might last a bit longer but I know I'll end up changing them pretty soon. they are fairly thin it has to be said.

Bought as a pair of best quality from 'Just Wan*ers', a mix up with their stock me thinks ::)

  13. There are stainless steel, front and rear bumpers available, for both 1968~1972 & 1973~79 VW Type 2s, for which corrosion should no longer be a problem! :D

  15. Yeh Chrome was a lot cheaper in those days!! Most things were made of it when i was just a boy , FUNNY isnt it they make taps with it on but they dont rust ,even with all that water OR is it the marmite that its fixed too

  16.
  17. taps are made from brass thats why they don`t rust
