I have scored a Heat Source propex heater so if anyone has any spare gas bottle would be good.
and need to order couple of keys and see if can re wafer the rest.

On with the hook-up & DC-DC/MPPT install currently, trying to make it all fit.

I am going to chicken out.
I haven’t the time to get it all tickety boo and don't want to chance it.
I sense that the Clutch cable is starting to stretch and I have a irritating misfire on the progression mid range. Also I think that the recent transmission upgrade is too tall for the engine so l need to test its not overheating before a long run. @77 Westy .

I can’t remember what R&P and 4th gear ratios you have Nick, but if it has a .82 4th gear an 1800 probably won’t make enough torque to pull it on anything other than fairly flat roads, but I doubt if overheating will be a problem. Just for reference my 2.3l has a standard 6-rib R&P with a .82 4th and will cruise al day at 65/70 mph at about 3400 revs and 350f head temperature (measured under #3 plug). On long motorway inclines head temp can increase to 400f and I back off and/or change down if it goes above that.

R&P set is 4.86:1
4th gear set is a Weddel HD version 0.82:1.
So as you say it's rather tall for my 1800cc and not really suited to hilly Yorkshire. Be interesting on the A1M though. Cheers.

4.86:1 is standard for an 1800, the 2.0l is 4.571:1. What made you choose the 0.82:1 4th gear?

 

I'm planning on bringing my woodburning pizza oven again and making myself pizza for Saturday dinner.

I am NOT offering to make pizzas for everyone. However as I'll be lighting it anyway if you want to bring stuff to make your own pizzas I will happily cook them for you - they only take a few minutes per pizza!

Please let me know if you are interested so that I know to find you to let you know when I have it going, and I can also give you some guidance on what works well in it as some of the pre-made pizza bases you can buy don't!
