Full exterior paint. Lights, wings, bonnet and boot removed. I’ve already had them all off and cleaned then refitted with new stainless bolts so shouldn’t have any issues

What colour did you choose in the end?

 

Still not 100% ,but at the risk of being a bore , probably black.
I thought painter would talk me out of it but he wasn’t bothered. Any colour I want is fine.

 

Black is a brave move
It’s the worst colour for showing up dents,ripples and repairs on vehicles
But damm it does look great when done right and polished up

 

Of the suggested colours, I think the Porsche red would work well with the black hood, and possibly black alloys as well

Red was my first choice, then I went on to Nardo grey, both with all the chrome blacked out.
Now I’ve got the big American bumpers straight and polished up and the painter was happy to do black I think this is what I’ll go with.

 

Well he’s in the body shop now. Hopefully get him back in a couple of weeks. Windscreen almost fell out on its own. I hope it goes back in half as easy.

Quickly put the panels on and drove home, about 8miles, with no windscreen and roof down. Got some funny looks

 

Managed to get two days holiday so been cracking on. Very happy with results so far.
