Just got back from 6 nights at The Meadows, just outside of Pentewan, near St Austell. Booked it because it looked a small site, not offering 101 amenities you won't use, and was adult only (although not a swingers campsite as I had worried about!). Rocked up at around 15:00 last Sunday to meet the lady owner. Told us about the facilities, places to go, etc. Then the gent owner showed us to our pitch. Pitches have names, not numbers, so don't expect to be able to find your pitch yourself first time! Campsite is very quiet, very basic, but has everything you need. Showers, toilets, washing facilities, electric hookup, water points, wi-fi, info "hut". What more could you want?! No need for bar, playground, swimming pool, etc. All that just adds to the cost. Which brings me to the price..... Because they are an adult only site, they do not charge through the roof during school holidays! We paid £21 per night, which included electric hookup, awning and up to 3 dogs. Got home about..... 15:30. Had 30 minute stopover at Fleet Services. Other than that, just kept on chugging along at 60!
