Type 4 GRP under tins

  1. Just received my new shiny GRP tins this week, spot on match for the ones on my T25. There could be a wider market for those who have gone over to the dark side and have an aircooled wedge.
Quality and fit looks excellent, just need to wait for a midge free hour to fit them on !

Type 4 Front tins and Type one GRP tins for bays would be good to have as well as they all seem so vulnerable to stone chips and salt and rust, whatever you paint on them.

  2. are you actually doing any tins for the type 1 Paul?
im definitely going to need a few at some point...

  3. Yes dude, I'm nearly ready to launch the rear tin for type 1, plus I'll be doing the big front tin too... I've just got to make a mould for that!!

  6. Are you still doing the type 4 under tins bud please? Cheers.

  7. I've PM'd you dude :)

But in short, I am still making them!!

  8. Do you think it would be possible to make a GRP pedal mechanism cover? (The front belly pan thing - highly technical term...)

  9. I could make one... Although I would have to make a mould first!! :) Tbh I didn't think that there would be a demand for them?

  10. I'd have one of the front ones as well, if you were thinking about it Paul.

  11. How are the T1 tins coming along Paul? Have you got a price list yet?

  12. Almost there

I've got both moulds made, I just need to do a bit of finishing to them to get them ready for production!! :)

  13. Hi Paul, I recently had the Heat exchanger in my injection Cali Type 4 changed to a carb one after I had a progressive carb fitted, but can't find the correct tin, I got one from mega bug and sort of cobbled it on to there (only three bolts out of four attached and at a bit of a jaunty angle). Will one of these fit mine or could one be modified? BTW it's a left hooker so its the near side tin, I think you already knew that though. Do you make these?

  14. Hi Paul, the main issue with going from US to UK tins is the pieces that go between the head tins and the under tins...

These are matched to the heat exchangers, so you have to change all 4 pieces...

I've now got the in between pieces, so at some point I'll mould them and get them into production :)

As for cobbling one of my tins on, you can, but I can't guarantee how well it will fit like that

  15. Cheers Paul, would you be able to figure out what I need from a photo? It's a bit of a trip to Scotland for a peek.

  16. I know what you need... took me about 3 months to track down a OG steel version of the LH intermediate tin... There are about 4 different versions!!

  18. Bloomin ,eck Paul do you sleep at all. You churn Engines, Buses and GRP Moulds
continuously. Let me know what helps you to keep up your pace of work and
I'll buy some for myself
On a serious note, keep up the good work.
Your skills and attention to detail are second too none :worship:
