I have just finished my cooling set up for type 4 engines... Kit includes: Shroud (in black gel coat as std, other colours and CF available) Brushed stainless fan strap. Stainless plate to go under the fan to close the case off. Aluminium breather block inc -10 fitting. (bottom right of the fan as you look at the picture) Aluminium bottom pulley (anodized finish in either black or plain) All fasteners £270 inc post (£320 for carbon shroud) Each kit is made to order, so delivery is normally around 7 to 10 days. All you need is a Porsche cooling fan/alt/ventilator, and a oil filler (I've not got round to making one yet)
does the case need any modding Paul? Also, what alternator and tower is used? Is it porsche or VW? I've looked on ebay and the only fan I could find was in the USA for £390 Do you know a cheaper source?
Wow, I want one!!!!! Problem is, I don't have a type 4 motor Any plans to make one for type 2 motors mate? Looks very nice, well done sir.
That's what I thought. Although Joker is right in the fact the type 4's were designed for the cars and ended up primarily in the buses?
OK, so here's when I pulled mine to do an alternator swap... changed mine from a 55amp to a later 90amp unit and here's one of the case machining
