We are back firing !!!

Just taken a drive out. Engine starting to go really juddery and then BANG BANG!!!!

What shall I do and what is wrong please ?

 

Did you forget to tighten the distributor clamp? Points fallen to bits?

 

It was serviced 4 weeks ago and fuel filters relocated outside of engine bay.

 

Dodgy new sparkplug loose lead?

I will check leads etc. could well be that as I remove an ht lead whenever I leave her parked up so maybe I didn't replace it properly or maybe it's constant removal and replacement has made it loose.

 

Broken points

As luck would have it I had spare points in glove box. Bloke I bought van off had told me about the spare and it only just dawned on me.

 

Nice to guess get one right over t'internet.

 

Still running a bit rough zed. Very juddery in 2nd.

Diagnosis ?

Points adjustment ?

Timing ?

Fuel starvation or dodgy fuel filter ?
