Just wondering if any of the westy experts can tell me the specific differences on the interiors. I know the basic layouts like the Berlin and the continental. But how do these differ from a Helsinki or a Campmobile for instance. We’re some interiors only available in certain years or countries? thanks in advance
https://www.vw-t2-bulli.de/de-westfalia.html Its all in German I’m afraid but run the page through he google web page translator and it makes a bit more sense. I just look at the pictures
Campmobile and Campmobile Delux are simply the USA names (and Spec) for the Berlin. Delux version had a two way absorption fridge as opposed to a cool box and it had a raiseable work top that revealed a two hob burner and sink as opposed to just a sink and no work top. p.
Perfect. Thank you. Gotta say I was staggered at the amount of different interiors when I had a look at the German link above. A lot very similar but a bewildering amount of names.
No problem! At last I helped someone else with something bus related rather than then them helping me.....this is a moment!
My god where do I start. Hang on I have a book all about it, might take me a week to upload the pages.
Just for a basic level outline. 73 model year right hand drive had an so72 continental with wardrobe then the next rh drive versions went so73, Malaga then after 76 you had the Oxford conversion. You also had a a day van layout which was similar to the so73. The lh drive versions were mainly Berlin and Helsinki with a day van option that had a small turret top. Very very condensed version ^
