I saw one about 5 years ago in forrin parts, possibly France ?? Just looked so futuristic as it wafted elegantly past , I did try to find out the model but drew a blank so assumed some kind of prototype/concept thing - looked amazing EDIT.... VW XL1 - can't do a linky thing as I'm crap but Google has all the info Only made 250 apparently but cool as fcuk.... Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
XL1 - i'd love one. IIRC they were 100 grand new, used they are still that level unfortunately. 300+ mpg! I have only ever seen one at a bicester sunday scramble. looked awesome - gull wing doors.
Getting parts is actually pretty easy, it's the 6 week wait from Brazil and costing 300% more than it should for everything that's the real pain in the Aris!
I've been keeping an eye on these, you can now pick one up for the bargain price of "only" around £80k!
I've not seen one that cheap. Although tbh it's irrelvant for me anyway. Even at 80k i'm still ~80k short lol
The cretins I have the dubious pleasure of working with decided it was the ugliest thing they've ever seen . Like I say .... cretins .... who in answer to my enquiries as to given that kind of budget what would be in their garage decided - to a man - on a new Landy disco . Cretins . I know, but it comes from the same design concept..but Honda obviously got into mass production with the low drag body.
I think I would have been useful carrying around some of the 5.5 tonnes of punched cards used in the Hollerith tabulator machines each day (punched card paper based electromechanical database engine used for correlating and searching the decoded material.. the coffee shop which is huge was where the three machines sat)
