Old Stingo and the Police-ists. Stewart Copeland is an absolute bloody monster of a drummer. Not convinced about the stripey socks, tho'
Did you see that documentary stuart Copeland did? Very interesting if you can find it. It was on BBC, but seems to be unavailable at the moment https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0001y8k You can see why him and Stingo clashed lol
He's a very funny fellow (and talented - plays all sorts of instruments). His book is well worth reading - only £2 on your Kindle. Grew up in Beirut - his childhood mate was Harry Philby, son of Kim the famous spy. And his Dad was in the CIA, up to all sorts of skullduggery. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Strange-Th...55749&sprefix=stewart copeland,aps,228&sr=8-4 His loopyness and Sting's perfectionism guaranteed they were forever thumping each other, with Andy Summers stuck in the middle. Summers book well worth a read as well: https://www.amazon.co.uk/One-Train-...707256098&sprefix=andy summers,aps,228&sr=8-1
Here he is playing many jangly things on Wrapped Around Your Finger, one of my faves. Looks completely knackered at the end of it.
