I have that album, years since I played it. Must have a listen again. And I just checked. The other chap is Bosnian lutenist Karamazov. Wonder if he has a brother?
Boris Kalashnikov? I do like old Stingy. He gets a bit pretentious, but he is an immensely talented fellow. Worth a watch of his interview with Rick Beato. Once he realises Beato's not going to ask the same old tedious questions, he actually becomes quite...likeable. Dominic Miller's not a bad guitarist either.
Bing Crosby on T`Claire Teal show - Jazz FM ... Lovely Sunday evening vintage chill , highly recommended (She`s from Yorkshire tha nos ...)
I like Claire. She went to the same school as my trouble n strife, not same year though I think. Her big band show on R2 was one of my Sunday evening highlights
Agreed , the big band show was my Sunday evening treat , Radio 2 missed a trick when they dropped her 7-9pm slot and Jazz FM took her on . Hee `new` Jazz show has a much broader playlist - just listened to the original 1949 `Hucklebuck` followed by Nina Simone . Radio 2 is dire at the moment , getting the yoof in there innit ..
