I'm after something/anything spare wheel wise - what you got?
I already have holes drilled in the front where i'm guessing the p/o had a wheel carrier, however I don't really want to fit one there but might do if the worst comes to the worst.
    So i'm after either.
    A. a shallow front wheel carrier (I've got a deep one which the holes don't line up on/ I don't like.)
    B. a devon drop down one for the rear.
    C. a landmark one that you have hidden in your shed.
    D. a nice Danbury one for £5

And before anyone says carry it inside and throw it under when camping - we do, but the stuff inside and 2 hounds are getting squished and the carried goods list will only get longer ......... sheeeeeesh!

Oh and a cover for a 185/14 if it's cheap.

  3. I've got a front carrier you can have for nowt but I've no idea whether its a deep or shallow one, can get it at lunchtime and have a look?

  5. How deep is a deep one?
Or indeed how shallow is a shallow one? ;)

the deep one I have is about 6 inches - the narrow one is about 2, it lets the wheel sit facing backwards or forwards if you get me.

  7. It's almost certainly a shallow one then, will dig it out and photo it later on.

  8. Think Dicky picked up a devon rear one ,not sure if he's fitted it?

  9. Aplogies it was matty

moley76 had one which he gave to poptop2 which i'm unsure if he still has/needs - i'm open to ideas really I have shown interest in the ones GingersVW are making but as they are not mass produced they're a tad expensive at the moment - mrs roo wants me to put it on the roof rack but i'm not keen.

  11. I wouldnt bother ,how often do you get a punture?
    Plus miles lighter.

  12. Had two on my car last week!

  13. As a landrover fan ricky, you may know folk who could get measurements for some of the landy swing out ones? coz theres one that looks a little like the landmark one and one that looks a like the danbury, i've often wondered how much modding they need to fit.

  14. Yeah good advice ,ignore me Ricky :)

I know about the landy ones - I had one for £99 when I had a landy, I know us long servers have done wheel carriers to death - to be honest i'm looking for a quick easy cheap fix hence my posting - i'm hoping the gingers ones come cheaper in the long term.
