Some of the other seams have cracked Aswell and with filler cracking and the other defects it really needs repainting I've just been daubing ankor wax into the cracks to keep the weather out for now It seems to be doing an ok job of slowing the progress down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Should have kept the landy and got a bigger tent, you lot need to get with the future and go galvanised.
I'd imagine it would be a lot cheaper than a respray aswell as a quicker turnaround Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sure I read somewhere that after using another wax you can't paint it . Something to do with the paint not sticking or something like that
It can be wiped off using a solvent and any residue can be broken down/removed with an alkaline based cleaner Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
why has the paint gone so bad? water is seeping through the filler from the back of the seams? if you have moisture in the primer... is that because it was sprayed in cold temperatures or something? that's devastating...
bad prep , that s the long and short of it , but no matter how well ye prep , it WILL AT SOME STAGE COME BACK
It's going to be fun fitting this without scratching it I must remember to fill it with oil first though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I see you've already got a crate of peroni under the seat for that first camping trip. I never go without it.
All that work it's only a 3 rib.. ... seriously tidy work there....Mr Hamfist here would have half that paint off on the way to the van! Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
Well I got it in place without scratching it only to confirm my suspicions that you can't use an earlier style nose cone mount with a later nose cone. So I dropped it back out swapped mounts and fitted it back in again without scratching it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
