Washed and waxed the van today I was going to mop it with cutting compound but there's that many faults in the paint it would be a pointless exercise At least water will bead off it all pretty when it rains Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My rear seam is in in better shape than yours. Mines been painted about 5 years and stored outside for 3!
Let this be a lesson to you all. Be like me, no filler. Let the ripples show, and a rattle can paint job. Still looks as awesome as the day I did it. In fact it's better cos it it got some funky cool patina
I think in the case of mine it's poor prep in some places and a lot down to moisture in the primer/filler before topcoat The side that's the worst is the side of the van that gets full sun during the day There are micro blisters popping all over on that side which have to be the water expanding and popping the topcoat off Once I get the suspension back together on the back end I'll see if I can get some help to turn the van round and see what happens to the otherside Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I recall taking a mates mini for paint, he'd prepped it to within an inch of its life & the guy said I can't spray that the paint will slide off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I t needs sorting soon or the rust will get deep into the seam and it would be a shame all the work you are putting into it
I would consider getting my van wrapped next time it needs painting. We get the sky vans in at work and the wrap seems to last very well and go around tight double bends no problem.
Sodding rubber parts again The fuel filler to tank rubber has started cracking It can't be the ethanol in petrol because it's never had any fuel through it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
