Errm yep, me too Paneuropean with disc lock still attached. That's a a big bike to drop. Everyone has moments @Kkkaty
Nasty! Luckily, my dads car was a crappy Audi A3, and it only scuffed his bumper... put a nice dent in the bus though! I like to think it adds to the character though..
@Kkkaty may I suggest, next time you go out in the camper you let a grown up ( male) sit on the side with the steering wheel...... I'm off, goodnight
We are going to build a wall around West Sussex and we are going to make East Sussex/Kent/ Surrey pay for it
That place is full of 52 year old terrorists ..................... Nigel Farage and Khalid Masood to name but two.
Yep done that. What made it worse was that both me and the wife had got into the bus and failed to check, assuming the other had done it....oops. It is now part of our preflight checklist; poptop check, wheel-clamp check..... Then of course there is the restricted height car park barrier - "yes lets park in the same car park as yesterday". Clonk! "oops, yesterday we had an empty roof rack. Oh bugger!"
@Kkkaty ive done it outside motorbike shop, opposite a pub with a crowd of on lookers. I didn't realise they'd put my disc lock on!! I also knocked a fellas expensive helmet off his bike so wasn't a cheap mistake. On the plus side I had my helmet on and refused to take it off until on lookers had departed!
You have just reminded me... once upon a time, I was outside the local pub on my trusty fizzy... the outside benches where rammed with bikers as it was a hot sunny day, so a massive wheelie seemed in order. I went straight over the back and the bike fell on top of me, much to everyone's enjoyment. I get reminded of it everytime I go to the local bike garage 30 years on ffs
Drove into a car park last year with a bike on the roof of my car. Previous year I'd been in with the bus during a bike event and never noticed a height barrier which must have been open at the time. However I still didn't notice the barrier (plain galvanised steel) and this time it wasn't open. Front wheel 'pringled', brake hose crushed, bike carrier mangled and roof bar feet destroyed. Only one onlooker but all the same I felt pretty dumb. I did have to laugh at my own stupidity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
