Move along now, other threads are availiable. Nothing to see here apart from @Kkkaty 's ridiculously dumb self inflicted damage to her van. :D

Mods, probably best to just close this thread now, I believe it's run it's course and reached a natural end point.

  7. So they say. As a feckless yoof I once took the sidecar off a bike I owned...fast noisy exit out the gate, across the road and through the hedge of the house opposite.....must have hit 60 before coming to a humiliating stop in a large laurel bush.

Honestly, you lot just go on and on and on and on......... A bloke makes a tiny teeny little mistake and everyone wants to bring it up all the time.

    Ok, so I
drove out of a car park dressed just in my pants, in the middle of the night in the pouring rain to move to a queter car park a few hundred yards away because the one I was in turned out to be the loud stereo saxo boys playground. I just opened the front and back curtains and headed off . I'd Forgotten that there was a height barrier at the exit and I'd left the Poptop up. I hit the barrier at about 20 mph and smashed the Poptop completely off the back of the van and it was just dragging along the floor behind the van still attached by a couple of stretched springs and some twisted metal struts. Total rebuild bill for the Poptop was £4,700.00.

  9. :( Did the Saxo mob applaud your mega performance?

Thankfully they'd been and gone about twice during the night and when I'd made the decision to move into the railway station car park, which is fully lit and with cctv they'd gone off for more Booze/Drugs/CD's. So it was just me, in me pants, in the pouring rain struggling to flip the Poptop back onto the van to prevent more rain getting in than there was already.
I was nearly in tears of frustration towards the end because each time I humped the roof back onto the van either the twisted metal or stretched springs seemed to flick the top across the van rather than along it.

  15. Weeeel...I did once drive into Poole's waste disposal place with my mum's old sofa on the roof rack of our Polo, forgetting the height restriction bar. It ripped the whole roof rack off.

I did have my trousers on though, so maybe @sANDYbAY wins

Jeez! That wins my vote with bonus points (not boner points) for being in your pants. Couldn't make that up!
