It looks lovely....I want one too....:(

  3. Aren't you supposed to run it up and down a few hills to help bed the rings in?

  4. i only got one because my hand was forced by knackered old one and it was a 'now or never' decision time.

  5. ooh, don't know. mechanic just said 50-55mph and don't over rev it - i thought that if i avoided hills it would be kinder?

  6. Will it be a turn key when you get it back ?

  7. i have no idea what that means.... :(
    should it be?

  9. There's a lot of stuff online about what to do with a new engine to break it in, but I'd say ask the engine builder what to do.

  13. Very wise. When I bought a 1776, I quizzed the engine builder about what to do, and followed his instructions to the letter.

  20. Get full instructions from your builder/ mech. You'll need to follow their specifications to keep the warranty valid.

BTW a turn key engine is one with all the ancillary bits fitted i.e. coil, dizzy etc - basically ready to bolt in (more or less). Yours delivered from Laurie is a long block. I am a veritable mechanical genius these days :D I have even progressed to being able to name every single part by sight. Lol.
